For centuries the clattering of the weaving looms belonged to the life of the people in our region. The textile industry, in particular the technique of jacquard weaving, determined the social and economic development. Today, the show workshop of the Textile and Racing Museum, located in a former weaving mill, is the only remaining place that shows the art of weaving pictures and cloths. Show workshop	A comprehensive collection of woven pictures, cloths of all kind, tapestry fabrics, exhibitions about the region’s history as well as changing shows with different themes can also be found here.
A special part of the exhibition is reserved for the history of the legendary racetrack “Sachsenring”. Learn about the old natural racetrack by viewing historical documents and find out about the circuit’s recent history from a road safety centre to a top modern Grand Prix course. The comprehensive presentation is completed by original racing motorcycles of different epochs and an impressive collection of model motorcycles of all renowned producers that look very like the originals.
